Logistics Analyst (Implementation Department)

Job Summary:
Position is responsible for providing supply chain support to logistics clients. This will involve supporting the design and implementation of solutions to meet specific supply chain requirements for clients. Manages daily client requests and issues, prepares regular reports on client activity, analyses client business, and identifies and implements process and cost improvements. Provides support in managing accounts and obtaining additional business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as primary point of contact for daily issue resolution
- Identifies and implements process improvements, cost improvements, and additional business opportunities
- Preparation of regular reports
- Data analysis
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (general suite of products)
- Knowledge of productivity management tools and statistical process
- Trend analysis
- Understanding of transportation data and reporting
- Knowledgeable of global transportation economy
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Knowledge of Contemporary Electronic Commerce (e.g. Internet, EDI, etc.)
- Experience in managing domestic and international modes of transportation
- Experience in carrier contracts and tariffs (accessorials)
- Knowledge of freight bill processing (rating and auditing)
- Experience in start-up and implementation environments
- Experience in brokerage, forwarding, and/or carrier operations
- Degree in business management, logistics or supply chain management and/or three to five-plus years third party logistics, supply chain management, or related experience
