Frequently Asked Questions

What is GTS?

GTS is a non-asset based third party logistics (3PL) company providing comprehensive transportation management services to clients around the world.  Operating from a centralized Logistics Control Center (LCC) in Hudson, Ohio, GTS is a single source, full-service freight transportation provider.

What are the transportation management services your company provides?

GTS offers dynamic freight transportation management services at a lower operating cost and a quicker startup timeline.  We handle all shipping requirements for both inbound and outbound activity. GTS has access to hundreds of transportation providers in all modes.  Our services include: shipment planning, carrier management, shipment execution, optimization, track and trace, freight bill audit and pay, consolidated invoicing, carrier performance, and reporting.

What is the history of your company from start-up to present?

Founded in 1995, the first year and a half of our operations focused on a group buying approach for a collective group of clients.  However, after surveying client transportation needs in 1997, the company adopted the service center concept to handle all transportation management services.  Through the company’s proprietary operating system, the company began handling client freight transactions, including rating (pricing), routing (carrier selection), dispatching, and settlement of freight invoices.  Today, GTS is the non-asset based, third-party logistics outsourced transportation management segment of Roadrunner Transportation Services, Inc. (NYSE:  RRTS).

Who are GTS’ current clients?

GTS works with thousands of companies around the world of all sizes and needs.

  • Partial to full truckload (shipments more than 5,000 lbs.)
